A sailing kid...

You don't often stop to think about how your childhood shapes the adult you become, but this week a post went live in our social media with this photo of me on a yacht in Fiji at 7 years of age. How does a suburban kid from Australia end up on a yacht in Fiji.... well that is a story in itself.  My dad's sister (Aunty Jane) had met and married an intrepid surfer guy (Uncle Mick) who was sailing around the Pacific Islands on a yacht that he and a bunch of his mates had built in Perth, Western Australia.  These guys had taken turns going out to work in the outback mines to earn money for the boat,...

Helping an island charity for Easter

Well you know I like to help island charities and send them some donations, and Easter is always a good excuse for giving. I was recently sent some lovely photos of St.Thomas's "Cat Lady" Dellia, wearing our Starfish Tunic while she was doing her rounds of feeding and checking on the feral animals around St.Thomas.  Meet Dellia Holodenschi.... What a great helper ! Anyway we made a little silly video this afternoon, when...

Where are we being worn?

It seems my complaints about sciatic agony is quite a common thing.... and I received SO MANY emails from our island friends over the last week, offering advice, love and prayers.  The best part though, was that a lot of you cheered me up by telling me where you are and that you are wearing my designs.... From Dawn...."I wore one of your dresses in Hopetown Abaco last week and more people wanted to know where I found such thin cotton. I told every person West Indies Wear".  Here is what Hopetown Abaco looks like.... From Cindy... "I am enjoying my 2nd day in Yosemite National Park and sitting on my porch next to the roaring falls wearing a West...
